Vaalu is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language action masala film directed by debutant Vijay Chander. The film stars Silambarasan, popularily known as STR or Simbu, and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes Santhanam, VTV Ganesh, Brahmanandam, Aditya, and Salim Ghouse. The film's music is composed by S. Thaman, and cinematography by Shakthi. The editing is handled by T. S. Suresh.

The film is an action-comedy that revolves around the life of Sharp (Simbu), a happy-go-lucky youngster who is always trying to impress girls with his antics. He spends his days hanging around with his friends, especially his sidekick Tyagu (Santhanam), and getting into trouble with the local gangsters. However, Sharp's life takes a turn when he falls in love with Priya (Hansika Motwani), who is visiting Chennai from Bangalore. Priya is initially put off by Sharp's behavior, but eventually falls for his charms.

Meanwhile, a group of goons led by Jothi (Salim Ghouse) are after Sharp for a reason that is revealed later. Jothi's daughter Maya (Raashi Khanna) has a soft corner for Sharp and helps him out whenever possible. However, Maya's brother Kumar (Aditya) is out for revenge against Sharp and will stop at nothing to get it. Sharp, on the other hand, is unaware of their intentions and thinks they are after him because of a misunderstanding.

The film has several twists and turns, including a flashback that reveals the reason behind Jothi's vendetta against Sharp. The climax of the film is an action-packed sequence that brings all the characters together in a final showdown.

Vaalu is a typical masala film, with a lot of action, comedy, and romance. It has all the elements that fans of the genre expect, including catchy songs, punch dialogues, and over-the-top fight sequences. The film's highlight is, of course, Simbu's performance as Sharp. He is charming, funny, and endearing, and brings a lot of energy to the film. Hansika Motwani is also good, and has good chemistry with Simbu. Santhanam provides the comic relief and delivers some funny one-liners.

The film's soundtrack, composed by S. Thaman, is peppy and catchy, with songs like "Love Endravan" and "Thaarumaaru" becoming popular among the youth. The film's cinematography by Shakthi is vibrant and colorful, capturing the spirit of Chennai's urban landscape.

Overall, Vaalu is an entertaining film that caters to fans of the masala genre. It may not be a masterpiece, but it delivers what it promises – lots of action, comedy, and romance. Simbu's performance alone makes the film worth a watch. If you're in the mood for a fun, light-hearted film, then Vaalu is definitely worth checking out.

Vaalu is a 2015 comedy with a runtime of 2 hours and 31 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.7.
