Urban Legends: Final Cut is a 2000 American horror movie directed by John Ottman. It is the sequel to the 1998 movie, Urban Legend. The movie follows the story of a group of film school students who are trying to create their thesis project, a horror movie, which is supposed to be based on urban legends. However, things start to go wrong as they become the targets of a killer who is copying the deaths of their classmates.

The movie opens with a scene where a young woman is trying to escape from a killer who happens to be wearing a ghost mask. She tries to lock herself in a room, but the killer breaks down the door and kills her. We learn that this is a scene from a horror movie called Urban Legends.

The story then follows Amy Mayfield (Jennifer Morrison), a film student who is trying to create her thesis project, a horror movie titled Urban Legends: Final Cut. Amy is struggling to come up with a compelling storyline, so her friend Toby (Anson Mount) suggests that she uses real-life urban legends as the basis for her movie. Amy takes Toby's advice and starts to research different urban legends.

Amy's classmates start to get murdered one by one in the same way that the urban legends they were researching depict. Everyone becomes a suspect, including Toby, who seems to know more than he is letting on. The remaining survivors are forced to band together to try and figure out who the killer is before it's too late.

Jennifer Morrison takes on the lead role of Amy, and she is supported by an ensemble cast of young actors, including Matthew Davis, Hart Bochner, Anson Mount, and Loretta Devine, who reprises her role as security guard Reese.

The movie has a great storyline with a perfect balance between horror and suspense. The movie is full of jump scares that will have you jumping out of your seat. The movie's direction is fantastic, with John Ottman doing a fantastic job at keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.

The movie's highlight is the performance by Jennifer Morrison, who does a great job of carrying the movie. She portrays her character with confidence and is a perfect fit for the role of the heroine. Her chemistry with Matthew Davis, who plays her love interest, is believable, and they have a few sweet moments that balance out the horror elements.

The movie's production design and cinematography are excellent, with dark and atmospheric lighting used to add to the movie's eerie and foreboding atmosphere. The killer's costume, which is based on the famous ghost mask from the Scream movies, is simple but effective and adds to the movie's suspense.

Overall, Urban Legends: Final Cut is an excellent horror movie that delivers the scares and thrills that audiences are looking for. The movie is well-acted, well-directed, and features a great story that keeps the audience guessing until the very end. If you're a fan of horror movies, then Urban Legends: Final Cut is definitely worth checking out.
