Unlucky Plaza is a 2014 crime-drama film directed by Ken Kwek, which follows the story of a Filipino immigrant named Onassis Hernandez, who is struggling to make ends meet in Singapore. Jeffrey Quizon delivers an impressive performance as Onassis, the hapless immigrant who gets caught up in a life of crime. His character is complex, and Quizon does an excellent job of portraying him as a man who is desperate to provide for his family, but also has a fundamental sense of right and wrong.

Adrian Pang also shines in his portrayal of Terrence, the corrupt landlord who is more than happy to exploit those around him for financial gain. He’s a character that’s easy to hate, and Pang does an excellent job of bringing him to life on screen.

Judee Tan is equally impressive as Irma, the housewife who gets caught up in the kidnapping plot. She’s a character that’s initially presented as being somewhat of a caricature, but as the film progresses, she becomes a more fully realized character with her own motivations and desires.
