Unlimited, released in 2013, is a movie that explores the idea of how a person's past can shape their future. Directed by Nathan Frankowski, the cast of the film features Fred Thompson, Robert Amaya, and Daniel Ross Owens. The movie revolves around the character of Simon Orwell (played by Fred Thompson), a man who is haunted by the memories of his past. Simon is a former CIA agent who has gone through a traumatic experience that has left him with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He is unable to move on from his past and this has affected his personal and professional life.

One day, he is approached by a young man named Josh (played by Daniel Ross Owens), who explains to him about a new technology that can help erase memories. This technology, known as MEMREC, is still in its early stages of development and has only been tested on animals. However, Josh believes that this technology could be the solution to Simon's problems.

Simon is initially skeptical about the whole idea and refuses to take part in the experiment. However, after a series of events, he changes his mind and decides to give the technology a try. The experiment involves Simon having his memories erased and replaced with new ones. The new memories are supposed to help Simon lead a happier life and move on from his past.

Things seem to go smoothly for Simon but soon he starts to experience strange phenomenon - he starts to remember things that he had supposedly forgotten. These memories are not from his past but from the lives of other people. Simon realizes that the technology that he had agreed to use has side effects that his experimenters had not foreseen. Through these memories of other peoples' lives, Simon begins to see the world in a completely different light.

Simon becomes convinced that the MEMREC technology is not the solution to his problems but instead, it is a tool that could be used to help others. He reaches out to his old friend, Dr. Beck (played by Robert Amaya), a neuroscientist, and together they begin to work on creating a new version of the technology that can help people without side effects.

The rest of the movie follows Simon and Dr. Beck as they try to navigate through the world of Big Pharma and the bureaucracy of the government to get their technology approved. All the while, Simon is still dealing with his own demons and trying to find a way to finally move on from his past.

Unlimited is a thought-provoking and well-crafted movie that does an excellent job of exploring the idea of what it means to be human. The technology that is at the center of the story raises important ethical questions about what it means to have memories and what happens when we lose them. The cast of the movie is exceptional with Fred Thompson, in particular, giving a standout performance as the troubled CIA agent.

Overall, the film is a must-watch for anyone who enjoys thought-provoking sci-fi stories that challenge us to question our own humanity. It encourages us to think about the role of technology in our lives and what could happen if we start to mess with the delicate balance that exists between our memories and our sense of self.

Unlimited is a 2012 adventure movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 38 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.0.
