Watch Uncle Vanya

"Uncle Vanya" (1963) is a British film adaptation of the play by Anton Chekov. An elderly professor and his young trophy wife visit their rural estate. The title character is the estate manager who is the also the brother of the professor's first wife. He falls in love with Wife Number 2, as does the local doctor. The professor's homely daughter, meanwhile, is in love with the doctor. To make matters worse, the professor wants to sell the estate that Vanya and the professor's daughter consider their home.
