Watch Ulysses

Based on James Joyce’s modernist masterpiece, Ulysses is notable for having a script almost entirely comprised of quotes from the novel and a plot that mirrors its source, centering its story on one fateful day in the lives of Stephen Daedalus, Leopold Bloom, and Molly Bloom. Also like the novel, the film was banned in Ireland and suffered difficult ratings for many years, only to finally be released to a more general audience in the 1990s.
