Watch Two Solitudes

This film is a historical fiction in that some of the events are real, while the places, times and names may have been changed. The film focuses on several different people during what is known as the Conscription Crisis of 1917. The Conscription Crisis of 1917 was an event in Canada during the time of World War I. Canada found itself lacking enough volunteers to send to England in order to help fight the war. Canada contemplated conscription and this caused a rift between French-Canadians and English Canadians. This film focuses on Canada during World War I and the rifts caused by the Conscription Crisis.
