In the post-apocalyptic world of Turkey Shoot, the government no longer exists, and society has been plunged into a totalitarian nightmare. The rich and powerful have set up a vast, sprawling prison designed to house and punish dissenters and political prisoners, and anyone else who dares to stand up to their authority. The prison is a place where brutality and sadism are the order of the day, and anyone who survives is likely to be a broken, hollow shell of their former selves.

Steve Railsback stars as Paul, a former soldier who has been imprisoned in the facility for some unknown crime. Along with fellow inmates Chris (played by Olivia Hussey) and Rita (Carmen Duncan), Paul is subjected to a terrifying regime of torture, brainwashing, and psychological manipulation. The prison's wardens, Thatcher (Michael Craig) and Ritter (Roger Ward), are sadistic monsters who take pleasure in tormenting the prisoners and pushing them to their limits.

As Turkey Shoot unfolds, Paul and his comrades are taken on a terrifying journey through the heart of the prison, facing one nightmare after another as they try to escape and find their way to freedom. Along the way, they are forced to endure horrific torture, including being strapped to a spinning wheel and shot at by sadistic guards armed with crossbows.

Despite the overwhelming odds against them, Paul and his friends refuse to give up. They vow to fight back against their oppressors, and to keep fighting until they can find a way out of the prison and back to the world beyond. Along the way, they encounter other survivors who are also fighting against the brutal regime of the prison, and together they form a ragtag army determined to take down the government and bring freedom to the people.

One of the things that makes Turkey Shoot so compelling is the way it takes on important issues of our time, from the dangers of totalitarianism to the horrors of mass incarceration. The film makes a powerful statement about the importance of fighting for justice and human dignity, even in the face of overwhelming odds and unimaginable pain and suffering.

At the same time, Turkey Shoot is a thrilling and heart-pounding action movie, with plenty of edge-of-your-seat moments and heart-stopping action scenes. The film is masterfully directed, with a keen eye for suspense and a visceral sense of humanity that keeps us rooting for the heroes even when all seems lost.

Overall, Turkey Shoot is a gripping and unforgettable movie that will stay with you long after the credits roll. With its strong performances, thrilling action, and powerful messages of hope and resistance, it's a film that everyone should see at least once.
