Turistas is an intense thriller that takes place in Brazil. The movie revolves around a group of young people, most of whom are American tourists, who are traveling through Brazil in search of some fun and adventure. All seems well for the group until they suddenly become the victims of a brutal robbery at the hands of some locals. After losing all their belongings and money, the group finds themselves stranded in the middle of the Brazilian jungle with no way out.

As they desperately try to find their way back to civilization, they stumble upon a hidden beach that seems to be the epitome of paradise. The group sees this as a gift from the universe and decides to stay on the beach for a while longer.

Things start to take a dark turn when they begin to realize that they are not alone on this beach. There are some mysterious individuals that seem to be keeping a watchful eye on them, and they quickly find out that they are not the only ones interested in this beach.

As the night falls and the group prepares to spend the night on the beach, they are suddenly attacked by a group of individuals, who kidnap some of them and take them to a remote location in the jungle.

The group soon discovers that they are now part of a horrific and illegal organ trafficking operation run by the locals. With all odds stacked against them, the group must fight for their survival and find a way to escape from this nightmare.

Turistas is a thrilling ride that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The movie is visually stunning, with breathtaking landscapes of the Brazilian jungle that add to the intensity of the plot. The excellent cinematography elevates the movie's suspense, creating a sense of danger and unease.

The performances of the cast are commendable, especially that of Josh Duhamel who plays the role of Alex, the leader of the group. His performance is convincing, and his portrayal of a man who is trying to keep his group together and alive under extreme circumstances is remarkable.

Melissa George’s performance as Pru, the strong-willed and independent woman who refuses to be a victim, is noteworthy as well. Olivia Wilde, who plays the role of Bea, adds further to the movie’s intrigue with her complex character and the mystery surrounding her.

Turistas is an unapologetically gruesome movie that portrays the dark side of tourism in Brazil. It tackles the ethical and moral dilemmas of organ trafficking while keeping the audience in suspense.

What sets Turistas apart is its realistic portrayal of the brutal realities of human trafficking, giving the audience a glimpse into how gruesome and inhumane the industry can be. The movie also provides a subtle critique of the privilege and entitlement that modern-day tourists often display.

Overall, Turistas is a gripping movie that is not for the faint of heart. The movie is a must-watch for fans of thrillers and suspense genre, with an added bonus of unique commentary on social issues.
