Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie is a 1997 superhero film directed by David Winning and Shuki Levy. The movie takes place after the third season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and tells the story of the new team of superheroes, the Turbo Rangers. The movie opens with Divatox, the evil space pirate, attacking the planet Liaria and capturing Lerigot, a wizard who possesses a key that can open the gateway to a magical land where immense power is stored. The Turbo Rangers are then introduced, consisting of Tommy (Jason David Frank), Kat (Catherine Sutherland), Tanya (Nakia Burrise), Adam (Johnny Yong Bosch), and Rocky (Steve Cardenas).

The Rangers are on a mission to protect a powerful artifact known as the "Lightning Cruiser," which is a car-type vehicle that can transform into the Rangers' supernatural Thunderzords. However, during a battle with Divatox and her army, the Rangers' powers are drained, and they discover that the only way to restore their powers is to obtain the key to the magical land.

With the help of Alpha 5, the Rangers travel to a distant planet to find the wizard Lerigot and retrieve the key. On the planet, they encounter a tribe of primitive people who have been threatened by Divatox's forces. The Rangers discover that the previous team of Power Rangers, the Zeo Rangers, have also come to the planet to help in the fight against Divatox.

Together, the two teams of Power Rangers work to save the tribe from Divatox's minions and plan their next move to retrieve the key. Along the way, they discover that one of their own, Justin (Blake Foster), a young boy who has been staying with the Rangers, has the potential to become a Power Ranger himself.

The Rangers ultimately face off against Divatox and her minions in a final battle to retrieve the key and save the planet. The Turbo Rangers harness the power of the Lightning Cruiser, transforming it into the massive Turbo Megazord to take on Divatox's gigantic robot, Maligore.
