Truth is a 2013 drama film directed, written and produced by Rob Moretti. The movie tells the story of a young gay man named Caleb (played by Moretti himself), who is struggling to come to terms with his sexuality in the face of homophobic prejudice and discrimination. As the film opens, Caleb is living in the shadow of his older brother, Peter, who is an established and successful lawyer. Peter is also deeply religious and disapproves of Caleb's homosexuality, which has caused tension between the two siblings.

However, Caleb finds an unlikely ally in Jeremy (played by Sean Paul Lockhart), a handsome and charismatic older man who introduces him to the gay club scene and helps him explore his sexuality in a safe and accepting environment. Although their relationship begins on a casual basis, Caleb soon realizes that he has fallen in love with Jeremy and begins to envision a future with him.

Meanwhile, Peter's religious convictions are tested when he finds himself drawn into a legal battle over the rights of a gay couple in their town. The couple, played by Heather Lind and Blanche Baker, are fighting to be allowed to get married in the local church, which has refused to perform same-sex marriages.

As the legal battle heats up, Peter is forced to confront his own biases and wrestle with the conflicting demands of his faith and his duty as a lawyer. Along the way, he meets a sympathetic priest (played by John Ventimiglia) who helps him to see the humanity of the gay couple and reconsider his views on homosexuality.

Meanwhile, Caleb's relationship with Jeremy takes a dark turn when he discovers that Jeremy has a secret past and a history of violence. Despite the danger, Caleb is unable to resist Jeremy's charms and continues to see him, even as he becomes increasingly alarmed by his behavior.

Throughout the film, the characters grapple with questions of truth, love, and acceptance. The movie explores the themes of identity, family, and religion, as well as the difficult choices that people must make as they navigate their way through a world that is often hostile and unwelcoming.

Overall, Truth is a powerful, emotional film that tackles some of the most pressing social and personal issues of our time. With its compelling performances, thoughtful script, and nuanced approach to a complex subject matter, this movie is sure to leave a lasting impression on audiences.
