Kristin Scott is her father pride and joy. He couldn’t be more proud when she follows him into a career as a member of the town’s fire department. On his last day before retirement, he is killed and the rest of the department blames Kirstin as he delayed his departure from the force to nurture her in the job. Now to prove to the men of the department that she has what it takes to live up to her father’s legacy, she joins the most daring and dangerous squad of all, the smoke jumpers. If she can make with them, she can prove that gender doesn’t matter among the bravest of the brave, but then she has to make it out alive first.
