Transformers: Dark of the Moon is a 2011 science fiction action film directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg. It's the third installment in the Transformers film series and serves as a sequel to Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The movie follows Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf), a young man who is struggling to find a job after graduating from college. He lives with his new girlfriend Carly Spencer (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), who works for a wealthy businessman named Dylan Gould (Patrick Dempsey).

When the Autobots uncover a spacecraft from the Cybertronian race on the Moon, they learn that it contains a dangerous weapon known as the "Pillars." The Decepticons, led by Megatron (Hugo Weaving), plan to use this weapon to enslave humanity.

As Sam starts a new job at a tech company, he discovers that his new boss, Jerry Wang (Ken Jeong), has evidence that the Autobots are working with the government to cover up the discovery of the spacecraft. Sam and his Autobot friends, including Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen) and Bumblebee, must uncover the truth and stop the Decepticons before they can unleash their evil plan.

The movie features several action-packed sequences, including battles between the Autobots and Decepticons in Chicago. The city is left in ruins after the Transformers tear through its streets, causing mass destruction and chaos.

Tyrese Gibson also appears in the film as Sergeant Robert Epps, a former United States Air Force combat controller who aids the Autobots in their mission. The movie also introduces several new Autobots, including Sentinel Prime (voiced by Leonard Nimoy), a wise and powerful leader who has been missing for centuries.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is known for its stunning visual effects and intense action sequences. The film was also notable for being released in 3D, which added to the immersive experience.

Although the film received mixed reviews from critics, it was a box office success, grossing over $1.1 billion worldwide. It was also nominated for three Academy Awards for its visual effects, sound editing, and sound mixing.

Overall, Transformers: Dark of the Moon provides an exciting and action-packed addition to the Transformers series. Fans of the franchise will enjoy the dynamic characters, intense battles, and impressive visual effects.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is a 2011 action movie with a runtime of 2 hours and 34 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.2 and a MetaScore of 42.
