When London club owner Johnny Solo starts getting threatening demands that he pay protection money, he finds himself fighting not only with rival club owner Diamonds Deilli but also the local police. His girlfriend Midnight keeps pleading with him to get out of the nightclub business once and for all. Circumstances take a turn for the worse when a chorus girl at the club is murdered, and Midnight starts to inform on Johnny's activities to the police in a misguided attempt to save his life.
