Tommy Boy is a 1995 comedy film that stars the late Chris Farley and David Spade. Directed by Peter Segal, the movie follows the story of Tommy Callahan III (played by Chris Farley), a larger-than-life party boy who has never taken anything seriously in his life. However, when his father dies suddenly, Tommy returns home to take over the family business, Callahan Auto Parts.

As he tries to keep the business afloat, Tommy is faced with a number of challenges. He is forced to work alongside his father's former assistant, Richard Hayden (played by David Spade), who is cold, calculating, and uninterested in Tommy's antics. Tommy also has to deal with the fact that his father's business is on the verge of bankruptcy, and he must figure out a way to keep the company afloat.

Tommy Boy is a classic road trip movie that takes us on a hilarious journey across the country with Tommy and Richard. In an attempt to save the family business, Tommy and Richard hit the road to sell brake pads and save Callahan Auto Parts from closing down. The two set off on a number of misadventures as they try to sell brake pads door-to-door.

Along the way, they encounter a number of colorful characters and mishaps that will have you laughing out loud. From running into a deer, to accidentally setting their car on fire, it seems that nothing goes right for Tommy and Richard.

Despite all of their misfortunes, Tommy and Richard develop a strong bond over the course of the movie. Richard realizes that despite Tommy's clumsy and bumbling ways, he has a heart of gold and genuinely cares about his family's business. Together, the pair work to save the company and make it a success.

The movie features standout performances from both Chris Farley and David Spade. Chris Farley, in particular, shines as Tommy, with his physical humor and comic timing stealing the show. David Spade provides the perfect contrast to Farley's over-the-top antics, with his dry wit and sarcastic remarks making for some hilarious moments.

The movie also boasts a strong supporting cast, including Brian Dennehy as Tommy's father, Bo Derek as a love interest for Tommy, and Dan Aykroyd as a rival auto parts company owner.

Overall, Tommy Boy is a classic comedy movie that has stood the test of time. It's a heartwarming story of family and friendship, with plenty of laughs along the way. It's a must-watch for fans of Chris Farley, David Spade, or just anyone looking for a good comedy movie to make them laugh.

Tommy Boy is a 1995 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 37 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 7.1 and a MetaScore of 46.
