Together Brothers is a drama movie from 1974 directed by William A. Graham. The film is set in Washington DC and portrays the lives of seven African American brothers who live in a rundown apartment complex. The movie deals with themes such as gang violence, racism, poverty, and brotherhood. The movie begins with a young girl being raped and later murdered. The main suspect is a gang leader from a rival gang in the area. The seven brothers, who have different personalities and talents, decide to take action to find the killer and bring him to justice.

The youngest brother, Ahmed (Ahmad Nurradin) is a computer whiz and assists the others in hacking into the police department's computer system to find any leads on the killer. The eldest brother, Duke (Anthony Wilson) is a Vietnam War veteran who suffers from PTSD and has difficulty connecting with his siblings. The other brothers include Lincoln (Nelson Sims) who is a talented musician, Stick (Tyrone Washington) who is a street-smart hustler, Soldier (Kim August) who is dedicated to the Black Panther movement, Jojo (Bari K. Willerford) who is a ladies' man, and Jelly (Kenneth Bell) who is the youngest and the most innocent of the brothers.

Throughout the movie, the brothers encounter obstacles such as being stopped by the police because of their race, being threatened by members of the rival gang, and dealing with the grief of losing a friend to gang violence.

The movie also touches on themes of police corruption and racial profiling. The brothers are skeptical of the police department and doubt that they will receive any real help in their investigation. This skepticism proves to be valid, as a corrupt police officer attempts to sabotage their attempts to find the killer.

Overall, Together Brothers is a powerful movie that sheds light on the issues faced by African American communities in the 70s. The bond between the brothers is heartwarming and their determination to solve the murder is inspiring. The movie's ending will leave the viewers satisfied and hopeful yet also shedding a tear for events the brothers had to deal with.
