Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie is a 2012 indie comedy movie that stars Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim (who also directed), and features a cast of eccentric and often hilarious characters. The plot revolves around two struggling filmmakers, Tim and Eric, who receive a billion-dollar budget from the Schlaaang Corporation to make a movie. However, things quickly spiral out of control as the duo squander the money on ridiculous and misguided ideas, leaving them with no movie and a mountain of debt.

At the beginning of the movie, we find Tim and Eric in dire straits – their commercial for the fictional Totino's pizza rolls has gone disastrously wrong, and they are banned from making commercials ever again. Desperate for cash, they hatch a plan to make a movie that will impress the Schlaaang Corporation, a shady and somewhat sinister organization run by an enigmatic and intimidating boss played by Robert Loggia. The plan is simple enough: use the billion-dollar budget to make the most epic and extravagant movie ever made.

However, things quickly go off the rails. Instead of using the money wisely, Tim and Eric spend it on ridiculous things like a diamond-encrusted suit, a tanning bed that makes you look like a skeleton, a team of muscle-bound personal trainers, and a luxurious hot tub shaped like a swan. They even hire an insane director named Damien Weebs (played brilliantly by Will Ferrell) to help them make their movie, which he describes as an "emotional journey into the depths of your mind".

As the budget dwindles and their debt to the Schlaaang Corporation grows, Tim and Eric resort to desperate measures to try and save their movie, including recruiting the bizarre and slightly terrifying Jim Joe Kelly (played by Zach Galifianakis), a man who lives in the abandoned mall where they are filming. Along the way, they encounter a host of odd characters such as the sword salesman Taquito (played by John C. Reilly), a maniacal stuntman, and a group of violent skinheads who are inexplicably obsessed with shrimp.

The movie is filled with surreal and absurdist humor, as Tim and Eric's zany antics spiral further and further out of control. The visual style is intentionally lo-fi and cheap-looking, which adds to the overall feeling of absurdity and surrealism. However, despite its low-budget origins and bizarre subject matter, the movie manages to be surprisingly heartfelt at times. Tim and Eric's friendship is put to the test as they face numerous challenges and setbacks, and the movie ultimately becomes a story about two guys trying to overcome their own shortcomings and failures.

Overall, Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie is a wild and wacky ride that will appeal to fans of offbeat comedy and surreal humor. The movie is fast-paced and never boring, with plenty of laughs and unexpected twists and turns. The cast is excellent, with Tim and Eric's chemistry and comic timing on full display, and the supporting cast adding plenty of zany and memorable characters to the mix. While the movie might not be for everyone, those who appreciate absurdist humor and don't mind a bit of low-brow comedy will find plenty to enjoy in this bizarre and off-kilter film.

Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie is a 2012 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 33 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.3 and a MetaScore of 40.
