Antonio is a bedridden man with little time left to live. His son is on the way to see him, but while Antonio waits for him, he peers out the window and begins to take a walk. The walk refreshes him and makes him feel alive again. It is one of the best experiences of his life, even if it is the last walk he ever takes. The view from his window is what gives him peace to deal with the fact that he may not live to see another day.
