The Tiger is an action-packed thriller film, released in 2005, that showcases the beauty and might of the majestic tiger, while also delving into the emotional journey of the people surrounding the tiger. Directed by Nontakorn Taveesuk and produced by Pracha Maleenont under the banner of Five Star Production, the film stars Atsadawut Luengsuntorn, Phimonrat Phisarayabud, and Pongpat Wachirabunjong in lead roles.

The story of The Tiger revolves around a young boy named Manu (Atsadawut Luengsuntorn) who lives in a village in Thailand adjacent to a dense jungle. Manu is a wildlife lover, and he has always been fascinated by the beauty of tigers, who roam freely in the jungle. His father, who is a poacher, sees tigers as nothing but a means of earning money by selling their hides to rich foreign tourists. One unfortunate day, Manu's father kills a mother tiger, leaving her two cubs as orphans. One of the cubs is captured by Manu's father and sold to a businessman named Kanchit (Pongpat Wachirabunjong), who runs an illegal fighting ring, pitting tigers against each other in the name of entertainment. The other cub manages to escape and ends up being taken care of by Manu in secret.

Fast forward a few years, and the tiger that Manu has been taking care of has grown into a fully-grown male tiger, who he named Sang Puyong. Meanwhile, Kanchit's tiger has also grown up and becomes the undefeated champion of the fighting ring. Kanchit, however, is not satisfied and wants to find a new opponent for his champion. His thirst for money and power leads him to the jungle, where he plans to capture the fiercest tiger he can find and use it against his own tiger in the ring. He soon learns about the existence of Sang Puyong and sets out to capture him with the help of his poachers.

The rest of the movie shows Manu's fierce determination to protect Sang Puyong at all costs, even if it means going against his own father and Kanchit, who will stop at nothing to capture the beautiful and ferocious tiger. Along with Manu, there are other characters who are also invested in the fate of Sang Puyong, like a female forest ranger who has been tasked with capturing the tiger by the authorities, and a foreign journalist who wants to uncover the truth behind the illegal tiger fighting ring.

The Tiger is a beautiful movie that not only explores the relationship between humans and animals but also touches on the destructive impact of greed and corruption. The film's use of real tigers in the jungle is commendable, and the cinematography does a fantastic job of capturing the raw beauty of the forest and the fury of the big cats. The acting is also great, with Atsadawut Luengsuntorn delivering an emotional and believable performance as Manu, while Pongpat Wachirabunjong portrays Kanchit as a sinister and greedy businessman who stops at nothing to get what he wants. The supporting cast also does a great job, adding depth to the story and making the audience invested in their characters.

Overall, The Tiger is a must-watch for anyone who loves action-packed animal movies that manages to impart a valuable lesson. The movie will make you laugh, cry, and most importantly, keep you on the edge of your seat with its thrilling and suspenseful moments.

The Tiger is a 2005 action movie with a runtime of 2 hours and 36 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.4.
