The Haruno family lives in rural Japan just outside Tokyo, the family lives a strange life working in artistic careers that sees them not fit in with those living in their small town. This family drama sees the wife of the family attempt to live out her dreams as an animator despite her husband wanting her to become a respectable housewife. The daughter of the family also struggles with visions of a giant version of herself that she hopes to remove from her life.
