This is an updated version of the 1975 "Sunshine Boys." Al Lewis and Willy Clark were a popular vaudeville act for 43 years. Willy Clark's niece and agent wanted to reunite the vaudeville team for a television special. After an un-amicable breakup, they reunited 11 years later. There was still bitterness between the men who had also done television during its early years. Lewis and Clark needed to work on resolving their issues to revive their act for a television special. The trouble is the two no longer spoke to each other. Woody Allen revised the George Burns role (Lewis) .
