After the death of their mother and the foreclosure of their home, Jennifer and her autistic brother Charlie leave everything behind to begin anew. Secretly planning to leave him with their estranged father, Jennifer drives Charlie across the country, but as ghosts from their childhood resurface, she realizes she needs Charlie as much as he needs her. Their four day journey is filled with crime, danger, laughter and the discovery that sometimes leaving is the only way to find one's true home.
