"The Slit-Mouthed Woman" (2007) is also known as "Carved" or "Kuchisake-onna." It is a Japanese horror film based on an urban legend about the title creature, which is a masked woman with long hair carrying a pair of scissors. The creature targets children and women: It carries off children and possesses women, forcing them to do horrible things. After it begins victimizing people at a school, one of the teachers tries to track it down -- and eventually discovers that he has a connection with it.
