Watch The Silk Road

This Japanese-produced drama is set in 11th century China. A young man named Zhao has been travelling along an ancient trade route known as The Silk Road. After his caravan is attacked by mercenaries, Zhao comes under the protection of the leader of the gang. He accompanies the mercenaries back to their home base in Dun Huang, where the young student encounters a princess he soon falls in love with. Romance, however, must wait while Zhao keeps busy hiding the city's many valuable treasures in local caves after Dun Huang is invaded by mercenaries from a neighboring country.
