Watch The Ride to Hangman's Tree

The Ride to Hangman’s Tree is a 1967 Western. Alan Rafkin directed the movie. The cast includes Jack Lord, James Farentino and Don Galloway. The story centers on three cowboys who rob stagecoaches and engage in other adventures as they stay one step ahead of a Wells Fargo detective. One of the cowboys is the notorious Black Bandit. He saves the other two from being hung as the movie opens. The storyline is full of typical Western movie clichés, but the three actors more than make up for it. Melodie Johnson is the eye candy in the movie. She plays a voluptuous singer who falls in love with one of the bandits. This is a light hearted comedy full of smart repartee and wisecracks.
