The Prophecy: Forsaken is a supernatural thriller released in 2005. The story revolves around a war between good and evil, wherein the major plot is about the fifth war in heaven - otherwise known as End of Days. The movie mainly follows a man named John Valek, played by Boris Petroff, who is an angel-turned-demon. Valek is the most powerful of his kind, and he's determined to bring forth the apocalypse.

The plot unfolds after Valek tries to escape hell and finds refuge in a new body. He hides in a human tour guide, only to discover that the new vessel he possesses is ill-suited and weak. Valek requires a new host to attain his goals. In his desperate search for a powerful host, he risks exposing himself to the angels looking for him. Simultaneously, a woman named Allison, played by Kari Wuhrer, falls in love with him, not realizing he's a demon.

The forces of the heavenly realm aim to defeat Valek and prevent him from triggering the apocalypse. Thus, the archangel Gabriel sends Daniel, played by John Light, to stop Valek from doing further damage. Daniel is tasked with seizing the evil Valek and preventing him from using Allison or anyone else as his next host.

One of the scenes in the film captures the moment when Valek entices Allison with visions of a perfect world, a temptation to join him on the wrong side of the war. Allison must ultimately choose sides when she figures out what possessing Valek would do to her. The battle between the forces of good and evil intensifies as the characters confront each other and cross swords. Daniel faces Valek in a raging night fight that leaves the fate of the world in the balance.

The story is engaging, with typical elements of a crossover action thriller hanging on the balance between fighting for the greater good, spiritual conflict, and real-world drama. Although it dwells mainly on supernatural beings, mortal conflicts and human emotions are also present as the characters face their fears and make choices that ultimately define their fates.

Overall, The Prophecy: Forsaken is a thrilling movie with a fantastic cast that brings a fresh perspective to an age-old struggle. It is a unique twist on religious lore that both the fans of the horror movies and fantasy genre can appreciate. This is a movie worth watching, especially for its impressive cast, exceptional cinematography and its captivating story.
