The Poof Point is a 2001 Disney Channel Original Movie that follows the story of siblings Eddie and Marie, played by Tahj Mowry and Raquel Lee respectively, who invent a time machine in their parents' basement. They start off trying to solve small problems in their lives, like homework assignments and sibling squabbles, but soon their experiments take a serious turn when they accidentally send their parents 25 years into the future. The movie then follows the siblings as they try to bring their parents back to the present day.

The parents, Mark and Elizabeth, played by Mark Curry and Dawnn Lewis, find themselves in a future where they not only don't recognize anything or anyone, but they've also aged 25 years in a matter of seconds. They are greeted by a scientist named Dr. Owmeyer, who is intrigued by the sudden appearance of two people from the past. Eddie and Marie manage to communicate with their parents using a holographic image from the future, but every attempt to bring them back to the present day fails.

The siblings then realize that they need a rare element, called "Poof," to power their time machine and bring their parents back. This element only exists in the future, and they have to somehow get their hands on it to save their parents. The siblings then come up with a crazy plan to pose as older versions of themselves and seek out the Poof from Dr. Owmeyer, who would be oblivious of their true identities. Things get even more complicated when the siblings realize that their future selves, who are successful and well-known scientists, have a feud with Dr. Owmeyer over a scientific discovery.

The Poof Point is a fun adventure movie that combines science fiction with comedy, for a family-friendly ride. The special effects are quite decent, especially for a Disney Channel Original Movie, and the time travel concept is quite an interesting one. In addition, the movie touches upon themes like family love, loyalty, and the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions.

The cast is a good mix of known actors and fresh faces. Tahj Mowry, who was well-known for his role in the hit sitcom Smart Guy at the time, delivers a good performance as the responsible older sibling who tries to fix things. Raquel Lee, who plays the younger sister Marie, is also quite good in her role, and the sibling chemistry between them is quite believable. Dawnn Lewis and Mark Curry are also good as the parents who are just trying to find their way back home.

Overall, The Poof Point is a feel-good movie that is perfect for a lazy weekend afternoon. It is not a thought-provoking or groundbreaking movie, but it is entertaining and charming nonetheless. It manages to achieve what it sets out to do, which is to provide a fun and enjoyable 90 minutes of entertainment for kids and adults alike.

The Poof Point is a 2001 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 19 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.5.
