This film examines the lives of three abused women, all of which were incarcerated in Missouri's prison system. Without the right to enter the abuse that they suffered into evidence, the women had little chance of proper defense. In 2000 legal practices were changed towards battered women, but the three still faced an uphill battle to regain their freedom from the justice system which victimized them.
