During a town fair, Frido encounters a magical mirror. With the mirrors' magic he creates a doppelganger who is a better and smarter version of himself. With the help of his double, Frido starts giving up more and more responsibility at school and home. When his secret is found out by his classmates, they too go to the mirror to create a double.
