In this experimental film, a young man named Victor, exhibiting symptoms of mental illness, encounters a nurse named Eliza and her girlfriend during a stay at a sanitarium. While living with Eliza and her son, Victor performs a number of actions in front of a blank canvas, including simulating suicide, dressing in women's clothing, and pretending to be a Nazi. He participates in a masochistic affair with Eliza when he is not employed at his job as an gardener tending a crop of orchids.
