In the movie The Mustang, we are introduced to a man named Roman Coleman (Matthias Schoenaerts), who has been in prison for over a decade. He is a man who has lived a life filled with violence and anger, and has been in solitary confinement for much of his time in prison. One day, Roman is given the opportunity to participate in a rehabilitation program that involves training wild mustangs. From the beginning, Roman is resistant to the idea, and does not seem to have any interest in working with the horses.

It is not until he is paired with a particularly difficult mustang that he begins to take an interest in the program. As he spends more time working with the horse, he begins to see that there is more to life than anger and violence, and that there is a sense of peace that comes with working with animals.

As Roman continues to work with the horse, he finds himself connecting with other people in new and meaningful ways. He forms a friendship with his fellow inmate Henry (Jason Mitchell), and begins to reconnect with his estranged daughter.

Throughout the course of the movie, we see Roman's transformation from a violent, angry man to a compassionate and caring person. His work with the mustang becomes a metaphor for his own journey of self-discovery and redemption.

The Mustang is a powerful and poignant film that expertly explores themes of transformation, connection, and redemption. The performances by the lead actors are outstanding, particularly Matthias Schoenaerts, who brings a raw intensity and vulnerability to his role as Roman.

The cinematography is also breathtaking, with stunning shots of the wide open plains of the American West, where the film is set. The scenes of Roman working with the mustang are particularly stunning, as we see the two characters connect in ways that are both beautiful and moving.

Overall, The Mustang is an excellent film that is sure to appeal to a wide range of audiences. It is a beautifully crafted story of redemption and transformation, and is well worth watching.

The Mustang is a 2019 drama with a runtime of 1 hour and 36 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.8 and a MetaScore of 77.
