Mamie and Buddy Goltz are the daughter and son of a strict German immigrant who owns a goods shop. One day, Dr. John H Harvey comes into the shop and woos Mamie.
Later on, Mamie and her brother sneak out to attend Dr. Harvey's demonstration for his magic elixir that's supposed to promote good health. Even though Mr. Goltz doesn't know it, Dr. Harvey hires Buddy to sell the stuff for a salary of 50 cents a bottle. Mamie is asked to come on stage to try Bridal face cream. Some jealous women tell her father they saw her there.
