Watch The Magician

This Swedish film was written and directed by the legendary Ingmar Bergman. It is the story of a mysterious magician, Albert Vogler, and his travelling show. Rumors swirled that strange occurrences were common at Vogler's Magnetic Health Theater, as it was called. The local authorities, determined to prove that it is all a hoax, demand a demonstration. The magician is all too eager to comply. Max von Sydow portrays the crafty Vogler on many different levels with sincere emotion and dark humor. The film was loosely based on a popular play called Magic. Bergman also directed a Swedish version of the play.
