The Land of the Wandering Souls is a French film that is based in Cambodia that depicts Cambodian family's experiences as they work on digging a trench across the region in order to install an optical fiber cable.
Horrific realities are uncovered as the family makes their way across the country digging the trenches, as they come across things such as an old killing field, that was set up to dispose of the bodies of thousands of people in a mass genocide that had previously taken place. The film focuses on the aftermath of such travesty and how life moves on after such horrendous events.
