In the year 2030, the world is in crisis due to overpopulation and environmental disaster. The solution presented by the government is to create the Humanity Bureau, an agency responsible for identifying and relocating individuals who are deemed unproductive or a burden on society. In exchange for their relocation, these individuals are promised a better life in the new territories.

The protagonist of the story is Noah Kross, played by Nicolas Cage, a Humanity Bureau agent tasked with deciding the fate of people deemed unproductive. Noah is an efficient, no-nonsense agent who believes he is doing good for society. However, his principles are put to the test when he is assigned to evaluate the case of Rachel Weller, played by Sarah Lind, a single mother and her young son Lucas, played by Jakob Davies.

Rachel and Lucas are deemed unproductive by the Bureau, and Noah must decide whether to send them to the New Eden community or condemn them to death. As he investigates further, Noah begins to uncover a sinister agenda behind the Bureau, and he realizes that the fate of Rachel and her son is tied to a much bigger conspiracy.

The movie is a dystopian, action-packed thriller that explores themes of government control, societal norms, and individual freedom. The director, Rob King, presents a bleak and haunting vision of the future, where the needs of the individual are discarded for the sake of the greater good.

Nicolas Cage delivers a strong performance as the conflicted Noah, who struggles with his duty as an agent and his conscience as a human being. Sarah Lind brings a sense of vulnerability and heart to her role, as she fights to protect her son and find a better future for them.

Jakob Davies, who plays Lucas, delivers an exceptional performance that captures the innocence of childhood in the face of oppression. The chemistry between Cage and Davies is one of the highlights of the movie, as the two actors create a believable and touching bond between their characters.

The Humanity Bureau is not without its flaws, especially in the pacing of the story. The movie struggles to balance its action scenes with the deeper themes of the narrative, making some sequences feel rushed and shallow. Additionally, some of the supporting characters are underdeveloped, and their motivations are unclear.

Despite these shortcomings, The Humanity Bureau is an engaging movie that raises important questions about the balance between government control and individual freedom. With its stellar cast and haunting visuals, the movie is a must-watch for fans of dystopian thrillers.

The Humanity Bureau is a 2018 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 35 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.5.
