Watch The Headsman

This brilliant film uses the background of the Inquisition during 16-Century Europe to portray the inner conflict experienced by two past childhood friends. After meeting and bonding in a European monastery, the boys separate to enter very different paths. As adults, one is led into the army where he serves as a captain. Later, he follows in his father's footsteps to become an executioner. The other feels compelled to enter a spiritual path and takes a job as a cleric in an abbey. What happens when they meet again 15 years later will change both of their lives forever.
