The Grace card is an awesome movie. It is one of the best spiritual movies I have seen in a long time. The move starts off with a family of four outside enjoying life. The father is teaching the oldest son how to ride a bike when a guy, who is being chased by the police, drives his car into the oldest son killing him. The young man who ran over his son was a black man and could not have been but about eighteen to twenty years old.

The father is so angry about the loss of his son that he joins the police force to keep the street clean of guys like the one who killed his son. The father cannot shake his anger with what happens and put his wife and youngest son on the back burner. He does not show love to his son and pushes him away by being hard on him. The youngest son who is trying to live up to the brother he doesn’t remember starts to rebel from his school work and starts getting into trouble.

Because his heart had harden toward black people this took a hit on his job performance as well. He had a hard time getting along with other co-workers and was passed up every time for promotions. Eventually he was partnered up with a young black man who was also a pastor at a church. Through this young man God softened the father’s heart.
Times were not good in the beginning of the relationship. However, the young pastor does not give up. He also seeks guidance from his grandpa on how to handle the hatred between the two. One night while the two of them where on call, they came across a guy robbing a warehouse. When the young masked guy pulled out a weapon the officer fired at him. They both ran to render aid and when they pulled the mask off it was the father only son he had left. The hospital worked on his the best he could but he needed a kidney transplant and they could not find a match.

After searching and running test the young man was getting worse by the day. The pastor kept going to the hospital and eventually had some blood work done and found that he was a perfect match. At the end of the movie the father, his wife, and their son was at the pastor’s church. While the pastor was preaching a black man walked down the aisle. The preacher stopped his service to ask him if he needed something and he walked up to the father, whose child he had killed years earlier and said he was sorry. The family was crying, and the father stood up and hugged the young man and gave him the grace card.

The Grace Card is a 2011 drama with a runtime of 1 hour and 42 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.2 and a MetaScore of 43.
