This South Korean drama deals with the major issues Korean families faced with their names and past when the country was occupied by the Japanese. The head of a family, Sol, disobeys the ruling Japanese decree that all Korean's take a Japanese style name. A Japanese officer, Tani, is dispatched to Sol's house to force him to comply with the order, but finds himself attracted to the Korean way of life the daughter of the family.
