The Five Cent War is a documentary that was released in 2003. The film details a group of Canadian children were subjected to the egregious raise in chocolate prices from five cents a bar to eight. This led to the children fighting against the chocolate manufacturers. The children demanded that chocolate be reduced back to its old price of five cents. Children boycotted chocolate, and also engaged in letter writing campaigns. The documentary also details more extreme acts such as vandalism, and children holding raids on candy factories.
