The Evil Below is a horror movie directed by Wayne Crawford in 1989. The film stars Wayne Crawford, June Chadwick, and Sheri Able. The movie straddles the line between supernatural horror and creature feature as it follows a group of divers who find themselves underwater with a deadly entity. The movie begins with a group of marine researchers who find an unidentified object at the bottom of the ocean. They decide to send two divers, John (Wayne Crawford) and Susan (June Chadwick), to investigate. John is an experienced diver, while Susan is relatively new to the job. As they descend into the ocean, they discover that the object is not an ancient sunken submarine, as they initially thought, but something much more terrifying.

Soon after they reach the object, they are attacked by a monstrous creature. John manages to escape, but Susan is killed. John reports the incident to his boss, Dr. Leopold (James Booth), who is skeptical of his story. John decides to investigate on his own with the help of his wife, Linda (Sheri Able), who is also a diver.

As they dive deeper, they encounter more of the creatures, which are revealed to be mutated octopuses. The couple also discovers that the creatures are the result of an experiment performed by Dr. Leopold, who was trying to create a super octopus. However, his experiment went wrong, and the creatures turned out to be aggressive and dangerous.

As John and Linda try to escape, they also have to deal with personal conflicts between them. Linda is pregnant and worries about the safety of their unborn child in such a dangerous situation. Meanwhile, John is consumed with guilt over Susan's death and is determined to destroy the creatures.

The movie builds tension as the couple tries to evade the deadly creatures and escape the ocean depths. The creatures are both creepy and impressive, with their glowing eyes and slimy tentacles. The underwater scenes add to the sense of claustrophobia, as the couple is trapped with no easy way out.

The Evil Below also touches on themes of human ambition and the consequences of playing god. Dr. Leopold's experiment led to disastrous results, and the characters must deal with the fallout. The movie also explores the bond between John and Linda and how their relationship is tested under extreme circumstances.

Overall, The Evil Below is a solid horror movie with strong performances and impressive creature effects. It's a thrilling ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end.
