Watch The Cry

The past, present and future lives of a young Czech couple are shown in this important movie from the Czech New Wave. Slavek sets out for his day working his job as a TV repairman as his young wife Ivana departs for the maternity ward of a local hospital. The two spend their time apart discussing their present life together and thinking back to the beginning of their relationship. A number of dream sequences also aim to show the hopes and dreams the couple have for the future.
