The Crossing is a war drama that chronicles the events that led to one of the most pivotal, yet surprising victories obtained by the Continental Army over the British during the Revolutionary War. December, 1776 appeared to be a bleak time for the troops led by General George Washington. Ravaged by cold weather, sickness, desertion, and lack of food and supplies, the troops who remained with Washington were facing the likelihood of defeat. The film displays how General Washington mobilized his troops to cross the Delaware River in adverse conditions for a surprise attack, and victory, over the British.
