Based on a true story. Many years ago, a young boy went missing from his home in Texas, now he is back, or so it seems. The truth is that the man who has come knocking is not the boy in question, but rather a serial imposter from Europe who has posed as the boy to get into the country and establish an identity. When an FBI agent starts to learn the truth deeper questions arise, such as why would the family so eagerly welcome him as their son? Are they desperate to believe they have their child back, or are they just playing along to cover the tracks of something far worse, the truth about what really happened to their son?
