The Boatniks is a 1970 American comedy film that was directed by Norman Tokar and produced by Walt Disney Productions. The movie centers around three inept Congoloid Harbor Patrol officers who try to catch a pair of yacht thieves, which leads to a lot of slapstick comedy and mishaps. The three main characters of the movie are Willy, George and Herman, who work as harbor patrol officers. Willy, played by Robert Morse, is the newest recruit to the team and often ends up causing hilarious situations due to his clumsiness and naivety. George, played by Don Ameche, is the supervisor of the group and often has to clean up Willy's messes. Herman, played by Norman Fell, is the grumpy and experienced officer who constantly complains about everything.

The trio's routine patrol of the harbor is abruptly interrupted when they witness a suspicious yacht trying to sneak out of the port at night. On board are thieves Harry and Max, played by Phil Silvers and Joey Bishop, respectively, who are on the run from the law. As the officers try to catch them, the yacht ends up colliding with a buoy, causing the boat to sink.

From here, the movie becomes a series of comedic hijinks as the officers try to save Harry and Max from the yacht and capture them. Meanwhile, Harry and Max try to outsmart the officers while at the same time trying to fix their yacht so that they can escape. There is a lot of humor in the movie, including slapstick comedy, situational comedy, and mistaken identities.

Stefanie Powers also stars in the movie as Kate, who owns a yacht that has been lost in the harbor. She becomes involved with Willy and ends up helping the officers catch Harry and Max.

Overall, The Boatniks is a lighthearted and fun watch that is perfect for family audiences. The comedy is clean and wholesome, without any vulgar or inappropriate material. The movie has a lot of charm and is a great example of classic Disney humor. The cast is fantastic, with each actor giving a great performance in their role. The Boatniks is a classic comedy film that still holds up today and is sure to bring a smile to your face.
