An cult classic Spanish horror film based on the gothic novel by Sheridan Le Fanu. Newlywed Susan travels with her new husband to his remote mansion. Once there she finds himself increasingly disturbed by his sexual intensity and perverted nature as her isolation sinks in. She also notices that the only portraits on the walls are those of his male ancestors, their wives portraits are hidden in the basement, her husband also reveals a bloody tale about the honeymoon of one of the ancestral couples. Things becomes even more fraught with the arrival of a mysterious woman named Carmilla.
