A documentary on an unlikely group of country music players. Several Russian teens move to Nashville, Tennessee to eventually become stars on the Grand Ole Opry. Their strange journey to the United States, with all the problems immigrants experience are documented. Overcoming the language barrier, dealing with missing their homeland, and visa problems are revealed.
The filming continues on trips back to Obninsk, visiting the people who taught them music. Returning to America, they experience the ups and downs of the music industry, tour life, recording, and all the usual problems breaking into show business. They Grow into adults, playing good country music.
