The Apparition is a 2012 horror film directed by Todd Lincoln and produced by Joel Silver, Andrew Rona, and Alex Heineman. The movie stars Ashley Greene as Kelly, Sebastian Stan as Ben and Tom Felton as Patrick. The film follows a couple, Kelly and Ben, who move into a new home in a quiet suburban neighborhood. However, strange things start to happen as soon as they arrive. After experiencing unexplainable events in their home, including strange sounds, flickering lights, and objects moving on their own, the couple realizes that they are not alone.

They soon discover that the haunting is caused by an experiment conducted years ago by a team of parapsychologists who tried to create a ghost. Patrick, one of the members of this team, is the only one still alive, and he warns Kelly and Ben that they are in grave danger. He explains that the ghosts they have created are not only real, but extremely dangerous.

As the film progresses, Kelly and Ben start to experience more and more paranormal activity, leading them to seek help from experts in the field. They soon realize that the only way to rid themselves of the apparitions is to destroy the experiment that created them.

The plot of The Apparition is engaging, but the execution of the storyline could use some work. The movie starts off strong, with plenty of suspenseful moments and jump scares that will have viewers on the edge of their seats. However, as the plot progresses, the story becomes more convoluted and confusing. It's not always clear what is happening and why, which can make it difficult for viewers to fully engage with the story.

The performances of the cast are adequate, with Ashley Greene delivering a solid performance as the leading lady, Kelly. Her performance is convincing, and the audience will root for her throughout the film. Sebastian Stan, who plays her boyfriend, Ben, is decent but doesn't shine as much as Greene. Tom Felton, who is best known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise, delivers an acceptable performance as Patrick, the last surviving member of the parapsychology team.

The visual effects and sound design are quite impressive in this movie, with the apparitions being genuinely terrifying. The ghostly entities are well designed and will give viewers the creeps. The sound of the ghosts is eerie and unsettling, adding to the overall atmosphere of the film.

Overall, The Apparition is a decent horror film that will entertain those looking for a few scares. While the plot could use some work, the performances of the cast and the impressive visual effects make this movie worth watching. If you're a fan of ghost stories and jump scares, then The Apparition is definitely worth checking out.
