The Accountant is a movie about the United States financial industry during the financial crisis of the early 2000s. During this time Lehman Brothers and Enron both had huge accounting scandals that shook financial markets around the world. In this movie, a lone accountant starts to report the strange things that he is seeing, however no one believes him. In the movie the accountant faces many head winds against the people of the financial crisis who want to keep things covered up. In the end of the movie, the accountant is found to be in the right but by the time this happens it is too late.
