Twelve-year-old Cell's house sits on stilts in the middle of a palm grove. Nearly every aspect of his house was fashioned to minimize the heat: cold water from an underground reservoir supplies the shower in the outdoor bathroom, a fan hangs from the ceiling in every room, and the terrace serves as the main room for homework, entertaining, and eating. Cell's favorite place is the game room where he plays with his friends.
