Terror Train is a horror-thriller movie from 1980 that takes place on a train. The movie stars Ben Johnson, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Hart Bochner. The premise of the movie is that a group of college students decide to throw a New Year's Eve party on a train. Throughout the movie, we follow these students as they start their journey on the train and gradually become victim to a mysterious killer.

The movie opens with a flashback to a Halloween party held by the same group of college students a few years prior. A young woman named Alana is hazed by the group and ends up in a catatonic state. We then cut to present-day, where we see the same group of college students on the train heading for their New Year's Eve party.

The train is a luxurious one, filled with amenities such as a disco, a bar, and private sleeping quarters. The students are excited for the party and are dressed in their best costumes. As the night wears on, however, strange things begin to happen. One of the students goes missing, and a masked figure is seen lurking in the shadows.

The tension and fear begin to mount as the students realize that they are not alone on the train. The killer begins to pick them off one by one, using their costumes and the darkness of the train to his advantage. The students are left to try to survive the night and figure out who the killer is before it's too late.

Jamie Lee Curtis plays the character of Alana, the young woman who was previously hazed by the group of college students. She is now seeking revenge on the people who caused her so much pain, and we see her become more and more unhinged as the movie progresses. Ben Johnson plays the role of the train's conductor, who tries to protect the students from the killer.

Hart Bochner plays the role of Doc, one of the college students who seems to have a knack for getting into trouble. His character serves as the comic relief in the movie, but he also has a darker side that is revealed as the story unfolds.

The movie is filled with suspenseful moments and jump scares as the killer stalks his victims. The train's setting adds an extra level of claustrophobia to the story, as the students are trapped in a confined space with the killer. The costume party also adds an interesting element to the story, as the students are not always sure who they can trust.

Overall, Terror Train is a classic example of a slasher film from the early 80s. It has all the elements of a great horror movie, with a mysterious killer, a group of clueless victims, and plenty of gore. The setting on a train makes the movie unique and adds an extra layer of tension to the story. Jamie Lee Curtis is excellent in her role as the vengeful Alana, and the rest of the cast delivers strong performances as well. If you're a fan of horror movies, Terror Train is definitely worth checking out.

Terror Train is a 1980 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 37 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.8 and a MetaScore of 42.
